The Sun Life Waterloo Busker Carnival is held at the end of August each year.  Over the years,  the weather’s been hot, sometimes humid, at times rainy, and evenings cool.  Just like our performers, you just never know what to expect so it’s best to be prepared for all weather as the show goes on rain or shine!

If you are staying for the day, and into the evening, we suggest checking the local weather and packing these essentials:

• • a blanket or chair to sit on

  • refillable water bottle. Water bottles can be filled at the water station in the Public Square.

  • jacket or long sleeves for evening

  • sunscreen for the hot afternoon days

  • umbrella…just in case

  • hat

  • mobile device to view our online schedule

Performers “pass the hat” at the end of their show.  Be sure to arrive with loonies, toonies, $5, $10 and $20s to tip your favourite performer. Many performers now accept tips online via their QR code as well.

PETS – Pets are permitted on the Carnival site, however, unless your have a service animal,  consider leaving them at home as the asphalt becomes very hot.
