Construction in UpTown Waterloo presented some challenges for the carnival that ran from August 24th to 27th in 2006. A new bus shelter was being built in front of the parkade and that meant a popular pitch space (performance area) could not be used. Enter the 21st Century Gargoyles to hang from the 4-storey parking garage for their 45 minute performances.
There was also construction happening around the main plaza (Waterloo Public Square) but that didnt get in the way of yet another successful carnival. You can check out "Whats Happening When" below from the new format, full colour program.
